May 22, The Hannibal Square Heritage Center hosted an "Afternoon with the Arts" presented by the Ivey Tea Rose Inc . Guests were able to meet with Spoken Word artist Shelby Birch, Artist Arthur Dawson, Authors Wynter Cuthbert, Michelle T. Martin and Dr. Elaine Myrie-Richards. The atomsphere was filled the soothing sounds from Violinist Laura Golden and Flautist Sally Carter.

We have had the pleasure of working with Springlake and Sunset Elementary fifth graders in the "What Hertiage Means to Me" Field Trip.

Friday, a group of 50 Seniors from Deland, Chislom Center "The Zippy Swinger" came in via Amtrack just to tour the Heritage Center and hear the African American history in the Hannibal Square area of Winter Park.
